Inspire Me Part Deux!
Happy Sunday everyone! I had so much fun cooking Matt and Lindy’s recipes that I decided I am going to make each and every entry that was posted. I will do another random drawing on Wednesday and post on Friday or Saturday. If you want to send me another recipe you can do so either on this post or the previous one. I think every recipe is outstanding and I can’t wait to see what I will be cooking next. I will continue this until every single recipe has been made.
Thanks to everyone for the kind and thoughtful comments after my Izzy passed away. Just knowing that my friends were there for support made this terrible time a little easier. Thank you all so much!
Suzanne it sounds like you have a lot of culinary adventures ahead! Have a great time.
Wishing you sunshine super hugs!
I do Teagan, this keeps me busy and cooking.
Happy Sunday!
Thanks Georgie!
Well now I will have to throw in my hat and represent Persian food and suggest you make the ever delicious addad polo (lentil rice). It is comforting and not as much a prima donna rice dish as some others! ๐ Here’s the link: http://figandquince.com/2014/01/06/mette-dumbo-addas-polo-a-great-day-ending-with-persian-rice/
and d’oh, it’s addas (lentil) polo no addad (number, haha) polo ๐
Thank you oh wow, I love addas Polo. YUM!! I will be making this.
Can’t wait to see what you pick next!
Me too thank you.
Hi Suzanne, can’t wait to see your next posts, what a fun thing to do.
Thanks Cheri.
Excellent! I hope I can participate next time.
Please do, because I am making every recipe submitted, a different one every week or so. I really would love to see what you would pick for me to make.
Sure Suzanne. Should I post the recipe link here or send you through email?
Either way works for me. Thank you!
I’m so sorry I missed Izzy’s passing. Nothing can replace the time we have with our gentle furry friends.
Thank you, the time we have is so short.
Too short, but so special.
I love it!! Really looking forward to seeing all of the recipes as you make them! Awesome idea! ๐
Thank you so much, me too.
Looking forward to your choices ๐
Cheers
Choc Chip Uru
Thanks Uru.
I am so sorry to hear about Izzy. I love your picture and can’t wait to see what you will cook next, it always makes me hungry reading your blog!
Thank you so much, vice versa, Always love what comes from your kitchen.
Hi Suzanne, sounds like another terrific idea to keep it going! Keeping busy is always best I believe. After I lost my last beloved dog I still went to the doggie food aisle in the grocery store for her food-it took 4 months for me to stop that. It was an automatic aisle for me to head to. I know it sounds crazy but true. Have fun with the next selection. Your Fl. Bud. Cheryl
I totally understand there are certain things I always did with and for Izzy that are second nature and I still do them. Yesterday, I picked up her ashes, it was like it happened all over again. I walked with them on her favorite route, the one she loved before she went blind. It doesn’t sound crazy at all Cheryl at least to me, Thank you, it’s good to know I have a friend who understands.
Oh my Suzanne you sure do!!! Time helps but the void is always there just a bit easier to handle. Took me forever (at least 10 months of hard grieving). She was also blind and deaf for several years which made me love her even more. She was like a pinball bouncing, she always knew where I was and stayed close too me the last 3-4 years. I know!!! Cheryl
Yes nando went blind 6 years ago izzy had only been blind a few months. Nando adapted well but he was younger when he was dizgnosed with diabetes he went blind when he was 8 yea old izzy was 12 and it hit her very hard and the blindness was difficult for her. Nando can barely stand anymore.
I hit reply by accident. Yes the grieving goes on for a long time. Its never easy and ghe void us never filled.
I can feel your pain as after my dad’s surprise departure from this world it’s been 3 years but still am not able to come out of it and thatz the reason behind my blogging so we need some thing just to keep ourself occupied and diverted and you are doing a great job to divert your mind… just adore you… ๐ ๐
Thank you so much yes, when something like this occurs, suddenly it’s such a shock and the pain is intense. You are so kind and sweet, thank you, Blogging, keeping busy does help.
coolio ๐
Thank you!
Sounds fun for me! Enjoy it, Suzanne! ๐
Thanks Mochi, always fun!

Thanks Amy, I am adding it to the list It sounds so delicious I would make it any time of year. Thank you so much.
I can’t wait to see what else you make. I just know it will be amazing girl. Enjoy the day today
It’s exciting for me too, I am trying new recipes. Getting me out of my rut. Thanks so much.
Oh my gosh, what a project! I am looking forward to it in about – oh, three years and 300 pounds later!! ๐ Seriously, sounds fun and looks like it’s going to be a rip-roaring event, judging from all the comments and excitement.
I think throwing yourself with abandon into something positive that keeps you moving forward is such a positive thing to do.
I wanted to say thanks for recommending the Big Red Wine blog – I loved it! You know, frugal people hate to make a mistake on a wine (even though great wine, I think can be had at a bargain) and I loved her recommendations and frank reviews!
LOL, yes its going to be quite an adventure, 300 lbs oh hope not. I’ll practice portion control. I love Michelle’s blog, I totally agree that you can get a really good bottle of wine on the cheap. Trader Joe’s 2 buck Chuck is an example. I always need recommendations because I am not always successful at picking out a good wine and it is so great having someone who knows what they are doing make the choices for me. Thanks so much,
Suzanne – this idea to pick a recipe was such a wonderful one! So inspiring and such a wonderful way to pass on kudos to another – you rock lady! Looking forward to what you pick and make next!
I really love doing this, it’s like a surprise for me also. Thanks so much.
Here is something from me for you Suzanne :). A guest post that I did for a fellow blogger and made Vegetable Korma with Onion Pilaf. I hope you give it a try.

Adding to the list Sonal. I will definitely be making this as I am making every single recipe submitted. If it’s not this week it will be one week soon. Thank you. I love Korma and the onion pilaf sounds delicious. Thank you.
How wxciting for me :). And yes whenever you get to it :). Thanks Suzanne!
I can’t wait to make it, Indian food is one of my favorites but I never make it myself. This will be wonderful.
What a fun idea Suzanne!! I guess I’ve missed the deadline (trip to San Francisco, followed by a crazy week of Parent-teacher conferences at school!!) — been out of touch! But I’m sure you got piles of wonderful to try recipes!! Will be fun to see all you post!!
You can still submit Rhonda, it will be in the running for next week and all the weeks to follow. Thanks so much.
OK! thanks Suzanne– I’ll give it a try!
Look forward to it you have some great recipes.
Happy Sunday Sorry I am week late!
