  1. Oh, that looks like the most delicious beef ever, Suzanne. You’ve become a great photographer too. Anyway, I wish I were even half as good of a cook/chef as you. Mega hugs!

    • Thanks Teagan, I get lucky with photo’s sometimes but I am actually a terrible photographer. You are too kind.

      • Nononooo… Your photo shows the food well, the composition is both interesting and well balanced. What you’re calling “luck” is a great eye.

  7. – A masterpiece, dear Suzanne! I appreciate dishes that take care and due diligence to fuse the taste through selection of ingredients, cooking methods, heat control and time to meld. I can imagine the fragrance, flavor and texture of this fabulous boeuf bourguinon. Bravo! 🙂
    – Stefano’s talent in wine pairing is evident by the praise he receives. 🙂

  12. Hi Suzanne! Guess what is on the stove simmering? Yes! This Beef Bourguignon! It smells amazing and the whole thing came together with ease. I can’t wait for 6 o’clock this evening to have a nice bowl of this goodness. 🙂 I have a question. When do the mushrooms come into play? I’ve read through the post several times and I don’t see it…I have a nice bunch of mushrooms ready to add! Thank you! I love this recipe.

    September 27, 2015
    • Oh no I forgot to mention the mushrooms. I salute and add at the end with the vegetables. Sauté whole. Will correct now. Oh I can’t believe I forgot that.

I’m way behind in my blog reading and now I’m sad I didn’t see this before I went shopping! I could certainly spend all day stuffing my face with this little bowl of yum! 🙂

  22. That sauce does look so dark and rich Suzanne. I tried making the Boeuf Bourgiunon from the Juilia Child book– too complicated!! With the cool weather (finally!!!) coming in– this looks perfect. thanks.

    October 4, 2015
    • Sorry I just saw this Rhonda, thank you so much. There are a few steps to making this but I think my adaptation is a bit less complicated. Thanks so much.
