Daisey
Daisey, just about the sweetest pug ever and Izzy and Nando’s best friend passed away on Friday. She had cancer and was such a brave little girl. The photo was taken last weekend. I am so happy that Daisey was able to visit us. It made Izzy and Nando very happy and Daisey also. When you lose a pet you lose a treasured member of the family. I pug sat many times for her, she was the most wonderful well behaved little lady and was a member of our family also. I remember she would not leave my side when she stayed here, she missed her Mom desperately but was happy and comfortable in my home with Izzy and Nando. She would always let me know she wanted to be petted by gently nudging my hand with her paw, she was saying come on don’t slack off keep petting me.
The photo on the side of the 3 pugs includes Daisey, it was one of the times she stayed with us while her Mom was away. Daisey was a puppy mill rescue, my friend does not know exactly how old she was, the vets think maybe 9 or 10 years old, they do know that she was used for breeding and had many litters of puppies. Thank God she was rescued and adopted by my friend where she enjoyed a wonderful very happy life. Rest in peace sweet Daisey. I will miss you, my heart is broken and you will always be remembered.
So sorry to read of Daisey’s passing. We have a Daisy at our house too, an orange and white kitty. Treasure your memories and our thoughts to her family.
I hope your Daisy is well, it’s hard to lose a pet, thanks Liz.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Suzanne… Little Daisy was lucky to have best friends in you, Izzy, and Nando. I’m thinking of you and her family, and hope that the happy memories that you hold in your heart, will help to ease the pain as the days go on.. ❤️
Daisey, Izzy and Nando were good buddies, they knew each other very well. I am just so glad I got to see Daisey before she passed. Thanks Prudy.
Oh I’m so sorry I know the loss only too well and still raw. Seeing those lovely pics made me tear up. Hugs to you and my thoughts xxx
Yes, you do know and how are you doing? I know you just lost your little one.
I am ok, he got cremated last week and comes back this friday so we shall have a ceremony. I have bought the children hollow pendants which they chose if they wish to keep som eof his ashes. I try not to think about him too much just because it sets off the waterworks xx How are you doing?
I have the ashes of all my dogs over the years. Daisey was my friend Jocelyn’s dog and although Daisey did not live with us we loved her and she was part of our family. I miss that she will not be coming over with Jocelyn anymore, I do miss her,
So sad. I lost my cat to cancer last September – it’s never easy.
No it isn’t and I am so sorry about your kitty.
Oh Suzanne, i’m sorry. You’re absolutely right. It probably doesn’t speak well of me as a person, but i honestly think it hurts me worse for a pet to pass on than it does when it’s a human.
This morning i thought my heart was going to stop when i couldn’t find my older cat at breakfast. (If you saw the fat little booger you’d understand.) After I had searched every room, he came out from under the bed with a “Well i’m right here — you’re so funny, human…” meow. 🙂
Great-big-hug.
Oh Teagan I know how that feels, Nando is old and feeble and sometimes he doesn’t know where he is going or what he is doing and gets stuck in odd places. Glad you found kitty safe and sound.
So sorry to read about Daisey. Losing a pet leaves a huge gap. The third photo of Daisey and Nando is so lovely – looks like they had a great friendship.
I love that photo of Daisey and Nando, they loved each other and stuck together, sleeping next to each other.
awh, I am so sorry to hear about Daisy. She was very cute, I know you will miss her.
Thanks Michael, Daisey was a very special little girl she certainly will be missed,
Big hugs Suzanne, I’m very sorry for you loss. The third photo of the two dogs is very sweet.
I love that photo too, thank you.
Sending heartfelt thoughts to you and to Daisey’s family. So lovely that she was so adored and spent her later years with so much love, respect and kindness. She looks like a sweet soul.
The sweetest and gentlest of souls. Thanks Margot.
Boo! Sending all of you huge hugs to wrap yourself up in! XO
I’ll be sure to pass that along thank you.
So sorry to hear about Daisy! Such a sweet photo of Daisy and Nando:)
Ooh so so sorry for your loss. What a sweet girl who you helped give a wonderful life. xo
Rest in peace sweet Daisey!

Hugs, Suzanne! Daisey is adorable, and I’m glad she was rescued and loved.
I am so sorry 😦 How very sad. Sending hugs x
I’m so sorry to hear this Suzanne. I have lost several pets and a cat to cancer and it is devastating. She looks like she was a wonderful, sweet companion. Sending a big hug.
Oh Suzanne, I’m sorry. It’s so sad to lose a dog friend. My best friends just lost their beagle a few weeks ago…it broke my heart. Daisey was a sweetheart, I can tell.
Big loss.. I am so sorry Suzanne. Tc
I seem to be reading so many times over the past few months of friends losing pets – it’s frightfully distressing, because I know from experience what it does to people …
I can only offer sympathy – even empathy … but nothing more.
I wish I could wave a magic wand and do away with all the unhappiness.
I’m so sorry Suzanne. Take care.
I’m so sorry Suzanne! We should be happy that Daisy was rescued and that she had a great life with your friend. Your story made me cuddle my cat Mort extra hard today xo
Ohhhhhh no, so very sorry to read such sad news Suzanne :(((((((((( Sending you tons of love and big ‘ol hugs …
Lynne xx
Oh no! How sad – I’m so sorry to hear that Daisey passed away, I’m sure she was much nutured and loved. RIP sweet Daisey.
So sorry to hear about Daisy Suzanne – She was adorable as are Nando and Izzy. You are so right – pets bring something special to our lives and they should be treasured.
What a sweetness little miss daisey looks! So sorry to hear the bad news. The loss of an animal is inexplicable. And the grief is so hard to explain to non-animal people! I lost a sausage over two years ago now and my family and I still talk about her! I hope Daisey’s owner is okay 🙂
Sorry for your loss Suzanne!! Thinking of all you 🙂
So sorry to hear your loss, keep in a good memory that’s what you can do. Take care!
Thank you everyone and I know my friend thanks you also for your kind words and condolences.
With you in the loss of this sweet family member.
Maria
I´m so sorry for your loss, Suzanne. She looks as adorable as your own pets. My condolences.
What a wonderful life she had once she was rescued. I know rescued animals make the most grateful, loving pets. I am so sorry for your loss.
My cat that we rescued when I was in second grade passed away this past week too. I’m am here for you and know what you’re going through! We are so blessed by pets. I’m praying for you and sending love and happiness and healing your way xx
Sorry for your loss. Only Dog ppl can truly understand the bond. They are the light in my life and big part of the reason I just love walking in the front door. The homecoming just NEVER gets old.
Thank you everyone, it’s so good to know that you do understand, although Daisey did not live with me I felt a strong bond with her as did my Izzy and Nando.
So sorry for the Daisey’s loss. ..those lovely pics made me tear up. …I lost my pet last year and it resembled Nando…..cute dogs. …love to daisy and Nando. ….
I am so sorry for your loss Chitra, Thank you so much.
hi everyone from daisey’s mom. i’m really touched by the outpouring of love and support from everyone here. suzanne, izzy and nando were (and are) our (my) extended family and i know i can rely on them for support especially now. daisey had a wonderful life (we think she was maybe even 11 or 12+ years old by the time she passed) even in her last year battling cancer, which she did like a champ with lots of help from my family, her vets, my boyfriend and friends, our dogwalker, my super(intendent)… i am trying to stay focused on all the love she generated during her life– even on the very last day as we walked from the car to the vet and she made a few more people smile. she was my pug angel and treasure and we really rescued each other.
Bless her sweet heart, she was one of a kind and a true little angel.
Like your other readers, I’m sorry to hear about Daisey. It sounds like she was loved very much.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Suzanne. Daisey looks so sweet in those photos. Big hugs and Bailey kisses to you. ❤
That’s so sad for everyone. It is heart warming to read that after she was rescued Daisey was so well loved. I am sending a virtual hug. Take care.
That last picture killed me. I’m really sorry to hear about Daisey. Kitty love sent to you guys. ❤
Suzanne, my heart reaches out to you and Daisey’s family. You all must be devasted. It is so comforting to think that, after she was rescued, she was loved unconditionally and that she was happy.
So sorry to read this but what a beautiful tribute. Daisey was a darling. What a wonderful life she had. ❤
I am so sorry my friend, sending you so much love!
Hugs

I am sorry for Daisy, Suzanne.
I’m so sorry. Hugs x
I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. She sounds like a wonderful little dog.
Lovely post Suzanne and I’m so sorry for your loss.Daisey looks the cutest.
I’m so saddened to hear about your sweet Daisy. I too know the pain of losing a pet friend, and I know how hard it is… xx
Sorry to hear about this, Suzanne… When one becomes the dog owner, especially as the dog is getting older, that annoying little fear of possibility of losing that dog one day becomes a tough thing to live with. We need to focus on the happy moments that we all had…
So sorry to hear about the passing of Daisy. 😦 Daisy will be really missed by play-mates, Izzy and Nando (other than the obvious people). May she find new friends in doggy heaven.
I am so sorry for you loss. Losing a pet is like losing a family member, even if its your pet’s best friend.
I’m so sorry. What a heartfelt and heartbreaking eulogy. RIP sweet Daisey!
Daisey was such a beautiful, sweet pug. I’m so sorry!!!! Hope Izzy and Nando are ok!! THinking of you!
Terribly sad news. It is so hard to lose a pet, because they truly are members of our family.
Thank you everyone this outpouring of well wishes is wonderful, I know Jocelyn is touched and I am too. It’s so good to know there are so many that really understand the depth of grief when one loses a pet. You are all the best. Thank you again,
So sorry to hear about Daisey–you’re right, pets are so much a part of the family!
That’s very sad, Suzanne. Sorry to hear this news 😦
Fur children passing away never ceases to break my heart. I am going to be a total mess when my little girl Kiwi is no longer here. God bless beautiful Daisey!
I know, I am the same. Izzy and Nando are 13 and 14 and both have pretty severe health issues, diabetes, respiratory problems and more. It is not time yet but I know it’s inevitable. I will also be a mess when I lose my two babies. Thank you, Daisey was a member of my family and the pain of losing her was hard for me and for my friend.
