Awards And Thank You and An Apology!
I want to thank Effie from Food Daydreaming for awarding to me the Sunshine award. I so appreciate it.
I also want to thank Fae from the lovely blog Fae’s Twist and Tango for the Very Inspiring Bloggers Award.
I have said this before but truly mean it when I express how appreciative I am. It doesn’t matter how many awards you receive each one is important because you are being recognized by your piers, fellow bloggers, food lovers. cooks, chefs and that is what is important.
I may not be able to pass it on, answer questions etc.. just being honest. This is where the apology comes in. Things are very busy with work and caring for my aging pugs. It’s like I have 2 full time jobs. I try desperately to keep up with all of the blogs I love and gain inspiration from, I try to post on my blog but sometimes I fall short on both counts. I would like to nominate everyone for an award, if you are reading this you are sunshine and inspiring and I look forward to seeing all the wonderful recipes and adventures of my blogging friends.
I highly recommend clicking on the links to the above mentioned blogs, they are both wonderful and you will love them. Here is one of Effie’s recipe’s on Food Daydreaming that I have to try. it sounds too good Fried Goat Cheese and Fig salad With Raspberry Balsamic Glaze. How about dessert, these delectable Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta Tartlets or Summer Vegetarian Lasagne Jamie Style
Fae from Fae’s Twist & Tango her blog is like the UN of food blogs, it’s wonderful. Iranian (Persian) food or Japanese Food each post takes you on a journey and is a wonderful learning experience. You not only learn the recipe but a little of the history and cultural significance of the the food. How about Rack of Lamb Coated With Herbed Breadcrumb and Cheeses or Dashi And Miso Soup or my favorite Persian stew Khoresht Bademjan
Hope you’re well and I hope you are still having a moment to relax every single day! The awards are well deserved. 🙂
Thanks Pamela, moment to relax, that would be really nice. Thanks so much.
apology schmapology (hope that came out right, lol). No need to apologize for being busy. I feel the same way about blogging awards–it’s an honor for sure, but a lot of follow-up and at some point everyone has been nominated for everything! Congrats to you. Your posts are always fun to read.
Yes that came out just right, can’t help but feel bad. Thanks so much LIz, appreciate it!
I agree with Liz! No need for apologies! You are a wonderful blogger and kind person, we all know that! Make sure to take time for yourself! xx
Congrats. And I think a lot of us know what happens to blogging when the real world goes crazy. 🙂 Don’t stress!
LOL, it’s all too real when worlds collide!! Thanks so much.
Congratulations on the awards! Very well deserved Suzanne 🙂
Thanks Julian, hope you are having a nice holiday!
Congratulations my friend 😀
Cheers
Choc Chip Uru
Thank you so much Uru!
You articulated the joy and appreciation of blogging awards really well. Congrats on receiving the awards yourself. Well deserved to say the least. & thank you for passing on the awards so graciously. The torch is passed on beautifully. I’m well familiar and a fan of Fae’s awesome blog (the U.N of food blogging indeed, ha ha, that’s a great way of putting it) and will now mozy on over to Food Daydreaming, a blog I’m not yet familiar with.
Thanks Azita and thank you for letting me know about the link to Food Daydreaming, it should be working now.
Well done on the awards, and for doing this post. You’ve given me inspiration to do the same. As I just don’t have the time to accept them. Still, it would be great to acknowledge the bloggers that awarded them all.
Thanks Johnny, I barely have time to sleep but I think it’s really important to acknowledge the lovely people who pay it forward.
Congratulations on your award! Life is busy, I hear you!
Sophia 🙂
Thanks so much Sophia! It is busy thats for sure.
I completely agree with Liz’s comments above, you have nothing to apologise for! Hope the pups are well 🙂
Thank you so much for the nomination (award) and the kind words.
Congrats and well-said!!
Thank you very much!
Dear Suzanne, You are one loyal and faithful Reader/Supporter/Friend of many many blogs. I encounter your well stated comments for the writers, which I have to learn from. Thank you very much for the lovely comments about me, my blog/posts. I cherish your referring to my blog as “UN of food blogs”! Lovely!
Thank you Fae, I love your blog and look to you for so many great recipes from different countries.
Congrats, Suzanne: so very well deserved! 🙂
Thanks Stefano!
Congratulations on your awards. Life sounds very busy for you at the moment, so take care. 😉
Thank you, yes it’s busy and in my line of work it’s good to be busy.
Congrats, Suzanne 🙂
Keep it going!
Thanks so much, trying to do just that!
I completely understand. I often wonder once I secure a full time position (or series of jobs that will probably be more than full time) how I’ll be able to maintain my blog and community relationships. It makes you feel like you’re neglecting friendships…back to the idea of how strong the blogger community becomes in your life. But real life must go on. No apologies needed. Hope you’re able to have a few moments to your self at least between the chaos.
Thanks Melissa, life can be a balancing act and sometimes I feel like my equilibrium is off!
Congratulations on the awards, you definitely deserve them! No need to apologize, I’m sure the feeling is very common…life just gets so busy sometimes (or all the time!)
Thanks so much!
Congrats! Good thing you have cooking as a hobby since it can be relaxing when times are hectic…and doggies to cheer you up! I have two sick doggies right now and though it can take some time to take care of them, they always make life feel better. 😀
Thank you, yes cooking definitely relaxes and it’s something I love to do. I am sorry your doggies are sick, hope they are better soon. Both of mine are also and it can be taxing at times but so rewarding to care for them, their love is unconditional.
Congratulations! You totally deserve them!
Thank you so much Isabel!
Congrats Suzanne! I hear ya on life being busy. I had no idea about blog awards when I first started my blog and would at first post about them and answer all the questions etc. but then they just became so often and I honestly just don’t have time or want to write a post for every single award each week or so. I didn’t want to overwhelm my non-blogger readers with those emails. I love my blogging friends truly, but I also had to remember my point of starting my blog, to cook like crazy and write recipes and blog posts and also take care of my baby girl. Hard to juggle it all. I started getting them from people that I’d never spoke with or that were not even followers on my blog and felt as though they were just picking me to fill up the 15 nominations or whatever…you know what I mean. Felt a little impersonal. Gosh, I hope that doesn’t make me sound bad but I had to refocus on why I blog. I guess that’s why I’ve seen several bloggers no longer accept them/post about them. Geez, I rambled lol! With that said, I LOVE your blog and see why others do too 🙂
It’s hard to keep up, I know you are busy with work and a baby (you have 2 full time jobs also) sometimes you have to decide between sleep and catching up on blogs and emails etc.. life is busy and finding balance is difficult at least for me it is. Thanks so much, you know I love your blog too!
