Knock Your Socks Off Homemade Baileys
First I have to say I love Lynne Knowlton and her blog “Design The Life You Want To Live”, she is fun, informative and has the most amazing design sense. I enjoy it and look forward to every single post. When I saw her recipe for homemade Baileys I knew I had to try it. I love sipping Baileys, it’s like dessert for me, sweet, creamy and just plain delicious. This literally takes a minute to make and the results are tremendous. It is strong, really kind of knock your socks off strong, it’s ok its the Holiday Season and sipping a little of this in the comfort of your home is a good thing, right?? Check out Lynne’s blog, I know you will love it as much as I do. She is funny, irreverent and a design genius. Love you Lynne!! Thanks for such an easy and really delicious recipe.
Homemade Baileys
13 oz vodka (Mine was straight from the freezer)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 pint table or light cream
2 tbs chocolate syrup, Lynne recommends Nestle’s I made my own since I didn’t have any.
Put all ingredients in the blender, give it a whiz and enjoy!!
I brought a bottle to my daughters for Christmas, she and everyone loved it and I immediately got a request to make another batch for the in-laws. It’s so easy to make I can whip up a batch any time at all.
This sounds wonderful!!!! I can’t wait to try it, thanks for sharing!!!
It really is a revelation, so delicious. I love it!! It’s genius really. Thanks so much and Happy Holidays!
I just saw your Etsy shop, it’s wonderful. I love homemade knit items, your twisted cowl is gorgeous!
That does sound awesome…and strong! But, you’re right, a perfect drink for the Christmas season! Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
Thanks Ali, yeah boy is it strong but in small quantities it is perfect. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and much happiness and success in 2013.
I am definitely trying it! Thank you!!
I hope you don’t mind if I reblog your link on my reblog page?
Thanks so much Judy, yes of course it’s fine to re blog, thank you very much.
This sounds divine. So long since I’ve had Bailey’s. Isn’t it usually made with whiskey though?
Thank you, I honestly don’t know what it’s made with this was my first foray into making any sort of liquor. It’s quite possible it is made with whiskey. It tastes pretty darn close to the Baileys you buy in the store though. Happy New Year!
