The Weeks To Come….

Hi Everyone;
I will not be posting regularly nor can I comment on all your wonderful blogs with any regularity during the weeks to come. I am afraid that it’s physically impossible for me to do this right now. Work is extremely busy, Nando is at the end of his life and requires a lot of time and attention. I have told you before my boy has Diabetes, he is 14 1/2 years old, blind and has neuropathy which a complication of the diabetes. He can barely stand anymore. It’s heart breaking and difficult for me to watch him deteriorate almost daily. He is still eating but that is becoming increasingly difficult for him. I cannot leave him alone for more than 2 hours at a time, I have to rush home between appointments. I do have a dog walker who is great and he will come in and check on Nando and take him out if I have to be gone more than 2 hours.
Pardon me for this, it’s a very difficult time for me right now losing Izzy just a few months ago and now Nando is failing, it’s hard for me to deal with and I just wanted everyone to know I am still around but you won’t see me posting or commenting with any regularity.

I’m so sorry Suzanne, losing a pet and/or watching one decline is so hard… They aren’t just our pets, they become our family and are like our children. Try to enjoy every single minute that you have left with sweet Nando. You sound like a very caring pet parent… No doubt Nando knows how much he is loved.
This is no time to be worried about any of us Suzanne. Your priorities are in the right place. Please remember for support you have friends galore should you need them. We’ll be thinking of you anyway.

Ugh. So sorry. It’s really the worst thing to go through. Don’t let it go too long – not giving advice, but we let our first one go too long, and then recently, with our last dog who we had to put to sleep, we found out after the fact that she was most likely in pain, and we had no idea because there were no symptoms of pain.

You are all so kind, thank you so much. I have Nando on a supplement that may or may not help him with the neuropathy. I have to try because the path is not clear cut at least for me to euthanize. Thank you all I count myself one of the luckiest people to have such a great support from my friends.
Sending you lots of love. I lost a cocker spaniel a few years ago to spinal cancer and she was only 4 years old. I understand the pain you are in and what it is like to loose your best friend. Don’t worry about the blog. It will be here when you are ready. Take care of yourself. Emma xx
Blessings on Nando, and inner strength for you. It’s so hard to help our sweet companions move on. Love is the only way. For what it’s worth.. coconut oil, cinnamon and turmeric have done wonders for some Diabetics.. not sure you even want to try anything else at this point. Love to you.
I use cinnamon but didn’t know about coconut oil and turmeric will try thank you
